Privacy Statement

We at Open eHealth Foundation use the latest technology to ensure that we not only meet but exceed all legal data protection and security requirements. We provide our members with the highest level of data protection and the right of self-determination regarding their personal information. This means, for example, that members can specify or control what data is processed, and who is allowed access to it.

Data processing

Your personal data will only be processed or passed on to a third party with your permission. As a rule, you can access Open eHealth Foundation´s Internet services without having to provide any personal information. If you submit personal information, for example when registering for one of our projects, entering your name on our distribution list, or subscribing to our newsletter and maillinglists, then your data will be confidentially handled according to the applicable regulations and used only for the purpose for which it is intended, and will not be passed on to a third party.
Every time you access one of the Open eHealth Foundation´s Internet services, the following data is saved in a protocol file:
• the name of the accessed file
• the date and time the file was accessed
• the volume of data transferred
• a message if the download was successful
• IP address
We save your IP address anonymously by encrypting the last three digits. We only use saved data to enable us to optimize our online services. We do not pass on customer data to third parties for either commercial or non-commercial purposes.

Open eHealth Foundation´s Internet services have links to external Web sites offering other Internet services. We are not responsible for the content of these external Web sites. We have checked these Web sites for offensive or harmful content, however, we cannot continuously check for changes. If you do discover a link on our Web site that contains illegal material, please let us know.
